The different parts of the ETA or eVisitor form for Australia :
First of all, before you start filling in the application form for an eTA or eVisitor for Australia, make sure you have your passport and the passports of the people you wish to register as well. You will need the information in these passports to complete the application.
Here are the details of the different parts of the form and the information you need to fill in:
- Contact details: In the first part of the eVisitor application form for Australia, you will need to enter your contact details. This is where communications regarding your visa application will be made. This includes a telephone number and a valid email address.
- Travel details: In this part of the form, you will need to fill in the purpose of your trip and your expected date of arrival in Australia. If you do not yet know your exact arrival date, you can give an approximate date. You should also remember to indicate the date of your next arrival if you wish to travel to Australia more than once on a single eVisitor or eTA visa. Remember that these arrival dates must be within the validity period of your permit. In this section, you will also need to enter the purpose of each trip you will make from that destination.
- Identity and passport details: The third part of the eVisitor application form will concern your passport and identity details. Please remember to fill in the details on your passport carefully. - Travel History: At this stage of the form, you will be asked to fill in some additional information if you have made a previous trip to Australia. In particular, you will be asked to fill in the visa grant number or visa label number which you will find on your previous visas. If you have travelled to Australia several times in the past and have more than one Visa Grant Number, you can enter the one you want. If you are unable to find this number, you can leave this field blank. However, this may cause a slight delay in processing your application.
- Basic questions: Finally, the last part of the eVisitor or eTA application form for Australia will ask you some general questions. Once the fee has been paid, all you have to do is wait for your eVisitor or eTA for Australia. Remember that in most cases, you only need to wait a maximum of 5 days to obtain this visa. It is also possible to obtain an eVisitor for Australia urgently, by ticking the appropriate box and paying an additional fee.
Your visa for Australia will be sent to you by email to the email address you have indicated in the English form. In this email you will also find instructions on how to print your visa.
We recommend that you travel with your paper visa to Australia and keep it in your hand luggage for the duration of your trip. Alternatively, you can keep it as a digital file on one of the devices you take with you. Remember that the eVisitor will be electronically attached to your biometric or e-passport, but you may be required to present it at random checks.
